Children who leave the sanctuary after the Time for Young Christians have something of their very own! — “Children's Church!"

Children’s Church is an opportunity for Broadway’s children ages 3 and up to play games, hear stories, do crafts, and sing songs that all relate to a Biblical lesson or theme for the day. Leaders are volunteers from the congregation who have an interest in sharing God’s word with our kids.

Kaleidoscope Children's Choir (resumes August 28, 2011)

Sunday mornings from 9:45 to 10:15 am

Founded in March 2009, Kaleidoscope is Broadway's children’s choir. The choir is open to any child; our only age requirement is that all children must turn at least four years old during the school year.

We participate in worship once every eight weeks or so and also lead the occasional drum circle. We hold an annual day-long retreat every August during which we play games, learn fun songs, and have a special time together, apart from our busy Sunday rehearsals.

We encourage children to become singers through the use of vocal warm-ups, stretching, proper breathing and posture, and basic musical concepts - sometimes we even do the Hokey-Pokey. We empower children to take an active role in worship and worship leadership.

Most importantly, in our “joyful noise”, we want them to learn and claim that they are beloved children of God.
